The share of renewable power output has relatively increased to 63.6pc, thanks to higher wind in February compared to its 58.9pc share in January.
Onshore wind generation increased to 36pc, and offshore wind generation contributed to the 7.1pc increase.
This increase in wind generation led to lower gas and coal-fired output, with gas-fired generation dropping to 12.4pc compared to 15.4 in January, and coal-fired generation falling to 6.6pc from its 9.1pc in January.
However, lignite-fired output remained the same for the month at 15.4pc, although it decreased by over four percentage points compared to the previous year.
