Why this project

Solar power in the energy transition

Credits backed by real, metered generation are among the most defensible in the voluntary market.

As countries worldwide seek to cut greenhouse gas emissions and strengthen energy security, solar has become one of the fastest-growing sources of renewable electricity. By harnessing an abundant, renewable resource, the project generates power without the direct combustion of fossil fuels — reducing the carbon intensity of the grid at source.

Beyond its climate benefits, the project channels investment into clean energy infrastructure, creates local employment, and strengthens the resilience of Kazakhstan’s electricity supply. Every megawatt-hour it exports displaces more carbon-intensive grid power, with no feedstock risk and no assumptions that erode over time.

As renewable technologies continue to expand globally, utility-scale solar plays a defining role in accelerating the transition toward a low-carbon and sustainable future.

89,000 MWh of clean power, generated not estimated.

The facility supplies metered, grid-connected renewable electricity to the national grid, reducing dependence on fossil fuel generation and contributing directly to Kazakhstan’s sustainable energy objectives.

Gold Standard

Currently progressing through Gold Standard registration; generation is metered and grid-connected, making every reduction transparent and auditable.

Impact that goes beyond the tonne

7 Affordable & Clean Energy

Adds approximately 89,000 MWh of renewable electricity to Kazakhstan’s mix each year, supporting access to reliable, affordable and sustainable energy.

8 Decent Work & Economic Growth

Development, operation and maintenance of the plant create employment and encourage continued investment in renewable energy infrastructure.

13 Climate Action

By avoiding around 62,000 tonnes of CO₂ each year, the project contributes directly to global climate-change mitigation and the low-carbon transition.
