The International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) is a non-profit business organisation created to establish a functional international framework for trading in greenhouse gas emission reductions. At the international level, IETA focuses on developing transparency rules and accounting standards under Articles 5 and 6 of the Paris Agreement, the Carbon Offset and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation, and voluntary markets. At the national and sub-national levels, IETA promotes the best practices for offset and allowance markets, and we support integrity in market linkages across the world.
